Achievements of CAB Nepal

A selection of our achievements to date are given below:

  1. Shortlisted as world's top four Organizations in Beyond Sport Award 2013, Philadelphia, under sports for social inclusion category.
  2. Nominated as world's top three Organizations in Peace and Sport Award 2013, Monaco, for the promotion of blind women cricket in Nepal.
  3. Participated in the T20 blind cricket world cup 2012, India, becoming Nepal's first team to play in the world cup.
  4. Successful conduction of world's ever first T20 international blind women cricket series between Nepal and U.K, here in Nepal from 26th-28th, Oct. 2014.
  5. Winner of world's ever first international blind women cricket series against U.K, 2014.
  6. Winner of Nepal's most prestigious national sport award 2013, under special award category.
  7. Member of World Blind Cricket Council, June 2007.
  8. Affiliated to cricket association of Nepal, October 2007
  9. First national blind cricket tournament March 2007
  10. First regional blind cricket tournament October 2007
  11. First Nepali blind cricket tournament overseas, Pakistan, March 2008
  12. The world’s first blind women’s cricket team and blind women cricket tournament, April 2009
  13. Training camps across the country since inception.
  14. Facilitation of scholarships for blind students e.g. blind woman cricketer Amar Singh received a scholarship from TV journalist
  15. Speaking and presentation at disabled sports conferences.
